Ephesians 4:26-28 (NIV) “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

1 John 1:5-10 (NIV) Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar, and his word is not in us.

  1. Why do you think some believers fear demonic influence MORE than they rely on Christ’s authority and indwelling presence? How can we stay aware of spiritual warfare without falling into fear or superstition?

  2. Have you ever experienced seasons where spiritual opposition felt especially strong? How did your relationship with Jesus help you resist or overcome that influence?

  3. Why do you think God often waits for us to take a step of faith before providing His strength? How does this process grow our trust and dependence on Him?

  4. When have you experienced God giving you strength beyond your own ability as you chose to obey Him?
